Dane and I are by no means jet-setters, but we get away often enough to warrant buying and testing a variety of popular Amazon travel must haves over the years.
While some of them were kind of duds, others turned into travel essentials that I won’t venture away from home without. And those are the travel products I want to share with you today!
Whether you’re taking a road trip or a long flight, these travel items will save you space, time, money, and your sanity along the way.
Scroll down to see and shop these Amazon travel must haves. And if you have any questions, please drop them in the comments so I can get back to you!

My Amazon Travel Must Haves
As promised, here’s a list of the best travel accessories I’ve used to date…
1. Portable Charger
If you don’t have a portable battery pack yet, go add to cart! Especially if your phone’s battery life is subpar.
These allow you to keep your phone charged on the go so you can take photos, record videos, and make phone calls without your device dying. And without having to stop and power up!
We’re an Apple family, and we love the iWalk power bank from Amazon. It comes with a built-in lightning cord, but it also allows for USB-C input and output.
Because of the USB-C output functionality, you can technically charge 2 devices at once with it. However, Dane and I each have one because we both like having access to 2 full charges when on the go. Our phones tend to die a lot faster when we’re traveling because we take so many pictures and videos.
2. Collapsible Water Bottle
Traveling with a reusable water bottle can save you a ton of money, but the ones you have at home likely take up more space than necessary.
That’s why I’m a fan of these collapsible water bottles available on Amazon Prime. They have a carabiner attached to the top, so you can simply hook them to your travel bag. They don’t have to take up any space whatsoever! Plus, they’re lightweight, leakproof, and come in a couple of different sizes and colors.
3. Apple Watch Charger
This is my favorite Amazon travel find as of late – it’s a compact, cordless Apple Watch Charger!
You can plug it into any USB Port, be it horizontal or vertical, and its magnetic property will hold your Apple Watch to it.
If you’re easily annoyed with cords like me, this will allow you to travel with one less.
4. Jewelry Organizer
I’ve owned several jewelry organizers over the years, and this quilted travel jewelry case by Bagsmart on Amazon is my favorite to date.
There’s ample space for all of the basics and then some – rings, bracelets, earrings, and necklaces. And because of all of the pockets and hooks, you can keep things from getting tangled.
The flat design is also great as it allows it to fit just about anywhere in your luggage.
5. Quart-Sized Travel Case for Liquid
Since I prefer to carry on my belongings when I fly, at least when it’s feasible, I wanted a quart-sized liquids bag that was more durable than a Ziplock. This clear travel case is just that!
While I’ve had no issues clearing airport security with it in the US, some Amazon reviewers did say that they had issues with it internationally since rules do vary. That said, please keep that in mind if you choose to purchase and use for international travel.
6. Clear Cosmetic Bag Set
High-quality, clear bags are underrated travel accessories in my opinion.
Not only are they waterproof, they allow you to see all of your belongings with a quick glance. No digging or mess making required.
We own this 3-piece cosmetic bag set, and boy has it come in handy!
I’ve used them in a variety of ways depending on the type of trip and what I have to bring. Most often, though, I use the two larger ones for Luca’s baby travel essentials and the smallest for my travel makeup bag (everything but the liquids because those go in the quart-sized case).
7. Travel Containers
For the price, I do really love these Amazon travel containers. They’re only 1 oz., but you can fit a lot of product in them!
I used them for a 6-day trip to Mexico, and despite only filling them about halfway I still had product in them when I got home.
While they’re great for thicker substances – like gel cleansers, hair balms, creams, shampoos, and conditioners – I do not recommend them for serums. Even with the lids on tight, mine completely leaked. There wasn’t even a drop left to be salvaged. So buyer beware. I don’t want you to waste any of your favorite beauty products!
8. Electronics Organizer
As I mentioned earlier, I am easily annoyed by cords, haha. There are just so many types of chargers these days, and it feels like you need a separate one for everything. For this reason, I’ve invested in an electronics organizer to keep everything tidy and it one place.
While I’ve opted for the small size, there are various sizes available. So if you have to travel with items like hard drives, memory cards, and other similar items, you could always size up.
9. Folding Travel Mirror
There are lots of folding travel mirrors on the market, but this one is the most functional in my opinion! And I’ve had several.
It’s compact design is easy to store and very light weight.
Yet it has a ton of great features, including 3 light settings, and a close-up mirror.
10. Compression Packing Cubes or Bags
When it comes to compressing clothes to save space in your suitcase, I actually have 2 Amazon travel must haves for you to check out.
First, there’s this set of packing cubes which is unlike any other! The bags are dual-sided, with one side being designed to properly store clean clothes and the other side being designed to handle dirty clothes. They’re made of sturdy fabric and zippers, so they should have some longevity.
I do love plastic compression bags, too, though. I actually think they save more space than the compression packing cubes mentioned above. They’re made of plastic, though, which is less durable. And technically you’re not supposed to put dirty clothes in them, although I’ve not had any issues.
I own them both, and I like them both. But if you’re trying to fit as much as possible in your suitcase, go for the plastic compression bags.
11. Shoe Bags
Whether you’re packing 2 pairs of shoes or 5, you’ll want shoe bags to keep them from dirtying your other belongings.
Dane bought us this shoe bag set from Amazon and we’ve used it on repeat – no complaints.
They fit everything from his dress shoes to my heeled booties. And if you’re going on a beach vacation you can definitely fit a few pairs of sandals in one.
Plus, the clear front helps you to easily see what’s what!
12. Airplane Phone Stand Holder
This is one of those Amazon travel must haves that I didn’t know I needed!
My in-laws bought Dane this airplane phone stand holder for Christmas a few years back, and I found it to be so useful that I ended up snagging one for myself.
It attaches to the tray table while the tray table is closed, so you can watch a movie without having to hold your phone in front of your face or find a way to prop it.
It’s honestly more helpful than it even sounds, especially on long flights with a baby.
13. Travel Sunglasses Case
I know my sunglasses are not super expensive (big fan of Quay sunglasses over here), but I still like to take care of them.
That’s why I bought this travel sunglasses case. It’s nice and hard, so I know my sunglasses won’t get crushed in transit. And it’s spacious, too!
Dane and I both have the 3-slot sunglasses case, but there’s also a 5-slot sunglasses case available.
PS: If you wear glasses you can obvi store them in here, too!
14. Long Phone Charing Cable
Whether you’re staying in a hotel room or a rental, you never know where the outlets are going to be. For this reason, I always pack a long phone charging cable when I travel. That way if I want to lay in bed or sit on the couch while I’m plugged in, I can.
15. Sound Machine
This is technically a baby travel must have for us, but I figured I’d share because it’s great for anyone who needs a white noise machine.
The Yogasleep Hushh Portable White Noise Sound Machine is light weight, compact, and rechargeable, so you can use it on the go.
It can run for 6+ hours on a single charge, and it offers 3 different soothing sounds.
White noise is part of our little guy’s sleep routine, and this portable sound machine has been put to really good use. Not just when we travel, but when we are our running errands too.
16. Digital Luggage Scale
These are great for airplane travel! They allow you to easily weigh your bag at home, so you find out sooner than later if it’s overweight.
Dane and I have had to stand at the check-in counter, moving items from one bag to another on several occasions, lol.
Now that we have and use a portable luggage scale, that no longer happens. Thank goodness.
17. Wireless Headphones
Be it Apple Airpods or other, wireless headphones are absolutely necessary for airplane travel especially. You have to have them if you want to listen to music or watch something on your phone.
If you can, opt for noise-canceling headphones. The sound quality is much better!
18. Perfume Dispenser
If you want to travel with your favorite perfumes, but don’t want to risk breaking bottles, this is a total game changer.
This portable, refillable perfume bottle set has 4.5 stars and over 17,000 reviews.
It’s easy to use, easy to carry, and a total no-brainer way to travel with you favorite fragrances.
19. Travel Pillow
If you want to rest comfortably while you travel, a travel pillow is absolutely necessary.
This Amazon travel pillow set comes with the pillow, an eye mask, ear plugs, and a travel bag to keep it all in.
20. Luggage Set
A durable luggage set is absolutely necessary, no matter where you’re going.
While I don’t own this 3-piece set personally, I wanted to share it because it’s well priced and well rated (over 4 stars with over 21,000 reviews!). And it comes in a ton of different colors, too!
21. Comfortable Shoes
I will not travel without a comfortable pair of shoes. For me, one little blister can ruin all the fun.
My go-to travel sneaker is the Sam Edelman Poppy Sneaker, which you can find on Amazon.
These sneakers are a best-seller for me, and I’ve never heard one complaint. I have, however, received tons of messages from people thanking me for sharing them. Everyone really seems to love them!
Other Popular Amazon Travel Must Haves
While they didn’t make my list for top Amazon travel must haves, here are some other Amazon travel essentials worth considering for your next trip!
1. Tote Organizer
Totes are actually great travel accessories, but many of them lack compartments which can make them difficult to organize.
That’s where a tote organizer becomes handy – you just set it inside of your tote for instant organizational options.
2. Apple Airtag
Dane actually just bought us Airtags, but I can’t say they’re my favorite yet because I’ve not used them. I do appreciate the concept, though.
If you’re not familiar, you can use Apple Airtags in conjunction with an Apple iPhone to track your luggage until it arrives at baggage claim (or your desired destination).
That said, if knowing where your belongings are at all times give you peace of mind, Airtags will be helpful to you.
3. Hanging Toiletry Bag
I’ve had a few hanging toiletry bags in my day, and I like that they save bathroom counter space.
I just prefer to use the smaller, clear bags I mentioned earlier for my toiletries these days. Mainly because I try not to bring so much. Toiletries can add so much weight to a bag!
If you do want a good hanging toiletry bag, though, the ones from Bagsmart on Amazon are my favorite. They’re very well made for their price point. And they’re pretty, too.
4. Trunk Organizer With Cooler
If you take a lot of road trips, this trunk organizer with a build-in cooler is great for snacks, beverages, a first aid kit, and other road-trip must haves.
It has a few different compartments and can be adjusted to your desired size. And when it’s not in use, you can fold it flat to save space!
5. Back of Seat Car Organizer
A back of seat car organizer is another good idea for a road trip!
In it you can store toys, beverages, tablets, and all of those little things you’ll have to bring.
I bought this exact one to use for Luca’s stuff because I was tired of my car looking messy. The quality is nice and durable!
So which one of these Amazon travel must haves did you add to cart?
