I don’t know about you, but my kiddo spends a great majority of time in his pajamas. Which is why finding the softest, coziest, best baby pajamas on the market was top-priority for me.
Thankfully, we received a solid variety of brands and styles at our baby shower.
That said, we’ve been able to trial a lot of the popular baby pajama brands this year.
Here’s what we’ve found to be the best of the best – from the most comfy baby pajamas to the best organic baby pajamas.

Most Comfy Pajamas – Little Sleepies
Whether you’re looking for footie pajamas or two-piece sets, Little Sleepies has the best pajamas in my opinion!
For starters, they’re seriously the softest pajamas ever. They’re made of bamboo viscose, and the breathable fabric is designed to keep baby cool in warmer weather and warm in cooler weather, so they can be used all year round!
Currently, we use the Little Sleepies footie pajamas, and we really appreciate the two-way zipper because it makes changing baby’s diaper so much easer! We also love the fold-over mittens AND the fold-over feet because they allow for flexibility.
But the thing that really sold us is how long Little Sleepies pajamas last – they’re designed to last 3 times longer than the standard. So my baby boy, who is currently wearing 6-9 month baby clothes, is still fitting into his 0-3 month sleeper.
As new parents, we’ve learned how particular babies can be and how much trial and error goes into getting it “right”. So the versatility of Little Sleepies pajamas make them worth every penny to us. These are truly not your average cozy pajamas. They’re pajamas that you’ll use on repeat as your child grows.
Best Organic Baby Pajamas – Burt’s Bees Baby
If you haven’t shopped Burt’s Bees Baby for organic clothing and pajamas, you’re missing out! They have so many cute kid’s pieces, one-piece pajamas and two-piece pajamas included.
This is one of our favorite brands for fam jams (AKA matching family pajamas). They make these organic cotton pajamas in so many festive, fun prints. And they come in a wide range of sizes – from newborn baby to women’s XL and men’s XXL. Not to mention they have matching pet bandanas so your furry friends don’t feel left out!
We love the Burt’s Bees Baby one-piece bodysuit pajamas for Luca because the breathable cotton has a stretchy, but snug fit. They also have a zipper closure, which make changing his diaper in the middle of the night much easier. But one of the best features is that they have elastic around the ankle to keep baby’s feet in place!
Top Gender-Neutral Baby Pajamas – Kyte Baby
Kyte Baby is well known for their Bamboo pajamas – a great option if you’re looking for something that will be gentle on baby’s sensitive skin.
Their famous footie baby sleepwear is simple, yet stylish. They’re offered in so many gorgeous colors, from bright colors to gender-neutral earth tones (which I very much appreciate!). And they feature a dual, full-length zipper for easy diaper changes.
Kyte’s footie pajamas are made of a bamboo rayon, a soft material that is designed to sit right up against baby’s skin. As I write this they have a 5-star rating (out of 5 stars) and over 5K reviews. People are saying they’re some of the most comfortable pajamas ever, and I have to agree, but I’ll let you be the judge.
PS: Kyte is also well known for their sleep sacks if that’s something that interests you! I haven’t tried them, but I’ve heard great things from friends and family.
Best Footless Pajamas – Hanna Andersson
Hanna Andersson pajamas are popular for their bright, pretty prints and soft cotton! But what stood out to me is that this is one of the only pajama brands that seems to consistently offer footless baby and infant pajamas.
Some babies just don’t like their little toes to be confined, so if that’s your kiddo the Hanna Andersson baby sleeper is probably the best option for you.
In addition to exposing baby’s feet, Hanna Andersson baby pajamas feature organic textiles, a long zipper, and super smooth seams – so your baby can relax and enjoy a good night’s sleep!
PS: If you like matching family pajamas, Hanna Andersson is another great place to find pajama sets for the whole family!
Most Affordable Baby Pajamas – Old Navy
From newborn babies to young children, Old Navy has some of the most affordable kid’s pajamas on the market. And they have so many different styles, even when it comes to baby pajamas.
While a lot of other retailers stick to one-piece baby pajamas, Old Navy has two-piece baby pajamas, many of which come with matching hats and/or bows. They also have great pajama variety packs, which make the per-piece cost even cheaper.
Despite the low cost, I can say from experience that Old Navy pajamas do wash very well. However, my boy has definitely outgrown his Old Navy pajamas more quickly than his Little Sleepies pajamas.
That said, Old Navy is definitely a great choice if you’re looking for affordable baby pajamas. But just note that they may not last you as long as a set specifically designed for multiple stages. You just have to decide if pajamas like Little Sleepies are worth the additional cost in the long run!
Another Great Alternative – Baby Gap
If you’ve been following my motherhood journey, then you know that I get a great majority of my baby gear at Baby Gap. That includes some baby pajamas.
I just love that they offer what I like to call “little man clothes” – pieces for young children that look like something an adult would wear, lol.
While they don’t necessary specialize in baby pajamas like some of the other brands mentioned, they do have some great options and are always worth checking out when you’re in the market.
Pro Tip: Be sure to look at the bottom of their website for coupon codes. I swear they’re always running some sort of sale, and they’re usually really good!
I hope that this roundup helped you to discover the right baby pajamas for you and your little(s)!
While I’m all for trying a variety of brands and styles, the one thing I strongly recommend would be avoiding jammies with snap closures.
Trust me when I say that trying to get snap buttons into the proper position in the middle of the night is quite challenging.
So no matter how cute they might be, they’re just not worth the frustration IMO.
Zippers are where it’s at – allowing for quick, easy access.
The most important thing, though, is that you and your babe(s) are happy. So you do you. 😉
