It was 85 today, and the kids were ON ONE. 😅 So I It was 85 today, and the kids were ON ONE. 😅 So I cut up a random box, punched some holes in it, took them on a nature walk, and we made these cutie fall wreaths! 🍃🍁🍂 I challenged them to find different color leaves, which kept them engaged for nearly an hour! A random Tuesday in my life as a stay at home mom! A random Tuesday in my life as a stay at home mom! ⛅️ The house needed a full reset. Clutter everywhere, floors that were begging to be cleaned. Not glamorous, but this is the work. 💁🏻‍♀️ I’m embarrassed to admit this, but there was a time I judged stay at home moms. I wondered how anyone could want THIS as their job. Why wouldn’t they want to climb the ladder and chase success the way the world defines it? 🤷🏻‍♀️ It’s wild how much my goals have shifted as I approach 40 and we build our family. These days my main priority is simply PEACE. No life is perfect, but peace is what I’m striving for. I’m grateful for these ordinary days, and I’m grateful my path led me here. 🙏🏼 Don’t get me wrong, I’m still ambitious. The businesswoman in me hasn’t gone anywhere. But I’m choosing to embrace this season and enjoy it while I have it. God willing, there will be plenty of time to get back to work later. If you’re in a season that doesn’t look like what you planned, I hope you find the beauty in it too. ♥️
Moms, if you need a quick and easy Halloween treat Moms, if you need a quick and easy Halloween treat, this is the one! 🎃🍫🥜🤤 I brought this chocolate peanut butter Halloween bark to a party yesterday and the kids AND the adults devoured it. It takes just a few minutes to throw together, it’s so fun and festive with all the spooky toppings, and it looks like you tried way harder than you did. 👻 It’s perfect for a family Halloween movie night 🍿or your next Halloween party! 🎉 Chocolate Peanut Butter Halloween Bark What you’ll need: (I bought everything at @target!) • Milk chocolate (I used Ghirardelli wafers because they have such a great flavor!) • Peanut butter (use a thicker one like Jif or the Target brand, not the natural kind with all the oil) • Toppings: I used Utz Halloween pretzels, Reese’s Pieces, mini Reese’s, festive Halloween wafers, googly eye sprinkles, and Halloween sprinkles How to make it: • Melt the milk chocolate in the microwave in 10-15 second increments, stirring each time. Go slow here so you don’t burn it! • Melt the peanut butter in the microwave until it’s liquidy. • Spread the chocolate onto a parchment-lined baking sheet until it’s about 1/4 inch thick. • Drizzle the peanut butter over the chocolate, then swirl it in with a toothpick. • Add your toppings and press them in gently. • Refrigerate for 15-30 minutes until set. • Cut it up and enjoy! 🙌 Save this one for later, and tag a mom friend who you know would love this easy Halloween treat! 🧡
