Amy’s Amazing Energy Bites Recipe: 5 Ingredients, 4 Steps

One night while we were in London, my friend Amy (our hostess) busted out the best no bake energy bites I’ve ever had. So, naturally, I stole her recipe. And I’ve had it on repeat in our household ever since. 

Not only are these energy bites delicious, they’re light and clean. They only contain 5 ingredients and can be made in under 10 minutes. So if you’re always on the hunt for healthy, easy snacks to make, TRY THESE. The ingredients and 4-step recipe can be found below!

Ingredients for Energy Bites

(Makes about 1-2 dozen, depending on how you size them.)

  • 2 Cups Rolled Oats
  • 1 Cup Peanut Butter
  • ½ Cup Flaxseeds
  • ½ Cup Honey
  • 4 Tablespoons Chia Seeds

Instructions for Energy Bites

  1. Pour all ingredients into a large mixing bowl and thoroughly combine.
  2. Refrigerate the concoction for 5 minutes. You want it to feel sticky!
  3. Using a tablespoon, create balls out of the cold mixture. I usually make my Energy Bites about an inch, an inch and a half in size. But it’s up to you!
    1. FYI: If you’re having a hard time getting the ingredients to stick together, stir in a bit more honey and/or peanut butter. 
  4. Store the energy bites in a sealed container (like a Pyrex dish or similar) and refrigerate between snacking.

I know there are a ton of Energy Bites recipes on Pinterest, many of which include things like chocolate chips and dried fruit. By all means, you can add whatever you’d like to this base recipe that Amy gave me. Just know that you might need to add more honey and/or peanut butter to get everything to stick together.
